My HEIZE Top Listener Journey: From 0.5% to 1% Among Millions of Listeners

I have always enjoyed listening to music, especially pop music.

Whenever I discover a song that I really like, I usually play it repeatedly. Sometimes, a particular melody, vocal style, or emotional moment in a song can make me want to return to it many times.

Among many artists, HEIZE is one of the Korean singer-songwriters that I have always enjoyed listening to.

She has created many songs that are worth appreciating repeatedly, including both her solo works and collaborations with other artists. Among all of her songs, one track that left the deepest impression on me is "I Can't Sleep", her collaboration with Loco.

Listening Naturally, Not Chasing A Ranking

Over the years, I often played HEIZE's official music videos through the YouTube app.

However, I was not listening to the same song repeatedly just to increase my playback numbers. My usual habit was simple: I would finish one song, then continue listening to another HEIZE song.

Sometimes, when I especially enjoyed a certain part of a song, I would manually replay that section once or twice before continuing with other tracks.

For me, listening to music has always been something natural.

I never listened to HEIZE's songs because I wanted to receive any badge or achieve a ranking. I simply enjoyed her music, and that was the reason why I frequently opened YouTube and played her songs.

Because of that, I was genuinely surprised when I received the YouTube Top Listener Badge.

I never expected to receive this badge, and I did not even realize that my normal listening habits had reached the level of becoming a Top Listener.

After checking the details shown on the badge, I discovered that I received two different HEIZE Top Listener achievements.

The first achievement was:

• Top 0.5% Listener (November 2025) — According to YouTube's data, I was among the top 0.5% of 5.4 million HEIZE listeners.

The second achievement was:

• Top 1% Listener (May 2026) — According to YouTube's data, I was among the top 1% of 6.1 million HEIZE listeners.

Being able to enter such a high listener ranking for two consecutive years feels quite unbelievable to me.

There are millions of HEIZE listeners around the world, and I simply received this special recognition because I naturally spent time enjoying her music.

For me, this badge is not just about numbers. It represents a period of time when I continuously listened to songs that I truly enjoyed.

Another Song I Enjoy — "Undo"

Besides "I Can't Sleep", HEIZE has many other songs that I love listening to.

One of my most-played HEIZE songs is "Undo".

This song has a modern pop music style with a unique atmosphere. The melody is very memorable, and even though it was released some time ago, I still find myself returning to it occasionally.

I think one of the reasons I enjoy HEIZE's music is because every song has its own personality and emotion.

Whether it is her solo work or collaborations with other artists, each song has something special that makes it worth listening to again.

The Most Memorable Moment From "I Can't Sleep"

Of course, when talking about HEIZE, I cannot forget "I Can't Sleep".

Besides the song itself, my favourite part is a scene from the music video.

After Loco sings for a long section, he suddenly falls asleep on the table. Then HEIZE appears and continues the second half of the song with her unique vocal style.

For me, that moment is the most memorable part of the entire music video.

The song gradually builds up its emotions in the first half, and when HEIZE's voice enters, the atmosphere suddenly reaches another level.

Even today, whenever I hear that part, I still think it is one of the most impressive moments of the song.

Music As A Part Of Everyday Life

Music has always been a small but meaningful part of my daily life.

Whether I am at home or driving outside for meals, errands, or other activities, I enjoy playing the music that I love.

Listening to familiar melodies while driving makes the journey more relaxing and often improves my mood throughout the day.

Music does not have a single correct answer. Everyone has their own favourite artists and songs.

For me, HEIZE's music belongs to the type of music that I can listen to again and again. Even after a long time has passed, I still enjoy returning to those familiar melodies.

A Badge That Records A Personal Music Journey

Last year, I received the HEIZE Top 0.5% Listener badge.

This year, I received the Top 1% Listener badge again.

Although these two badges represent different periods of listening data, both of them record my listening habits over the years and have become meaningful memories in my own music journey.
